Adherence packaging

Your whole month, sorted before it arrives.

Every medication pressed into a sealed compartment labeled with the day and the time. No pill organizer to fill on Sunday evening, no second-guessing whether you already took the morning dose.

The problem it solves

Seven prescriptions, four different times of day, three of them with instructions about food. Managed out of separate bottles, that is a genuinely difficult thing to get right every single day — and the most common failure isn't taking the wrong pill, it's losing track of whether you took it at all.

Blister packaging removes the sorting step. We do it here, under a pharmacist's supervision, before the medications ever leave the building.

How it works

  1. We review everything you takeBring in your bottles or just tell us over the phone. We'll build a complete list, including anything from other prescribers, and flag interactions or duplicates while we're at it.
  2. We package it by dose timeEach compartment holds everything due at one specific time on one specific day, sealed and labeled — Monday 8:00 AM, Monday 8:00 PM, and so on through the cycle.
  3. You take it a compartment at a timePress out the compartment for right now. If it's still sealed, you haven't taken that dose yet — which is the part people find most reassuring.
  4. We handle the refillsWe track when the next cycle is due and prepare it in advance. Add free delivery and the next pack simply turns up.

Caring for a parent or relative? Packaging makes remote check-ins genuinely workable. A quick look tells you whether the morning dose was taken, without an interrogation and without anyone having to count pills.

What can and can't be packaged

Most oral tablets and capsules can go into a blister pack. Some things can't and will be dispensed separately with their own instructions:

  • Liquids, creams and inhalers — dispensed in their original containers.
  • Refrigerated medications — including many injectables.
  • Certain controlled substances — depending on the medication and applicable regulations.
  • As-needed medications — anything you take only when symptoms occur doesn't belong on a fixed schedule, though we can package it separately if it helps.

Tell us what you take and we'll go through the list with you before anything is set up.

Common questions about packaging

What is blister packaging?

Instead of separate pill bottles, your medications are sealed into a card with an individual compartment for each dose time — Monday morning, Monday evening, and so on through the month. You press out one compartment and take what is in it.

Does blister packaging cost extra?

You still pay your normal copay or prescription cost for the medications themselves. Call us at 215-244-4244 with your list and we will confirm exactly what it would look like for your situation before you commit to anything.

Can all of my medications go in one pack?

Most oral tablets and capsules can. Some items cannot be packaged this way — liquids, inhalers, injectables, refrigerated medications and certain controlled substances are dispensed separately. We will tell you which of your medications can be included.

What happens if my prescription changes mid-month?

Let us know as soon as the change is made. Depending on timing we will either repackage the remainder or supply the changed medication separately with clear instructions. Never adjust a sealed pack yourself without speaking to us first.

Can the packs be delivered?

Yes. Blister packaging and our free delivery service work well together — the whole month arrives at your door, pre-sorted, at no delivery charge.

Is this useful for a family member I care for?

This is one of the most common reasons people ask about it. Because each compartment is clearly labeled with the day and time, it is easy to see at a glance whether a dose was taken — which makes checking in from a distance far more practical.

Can you sync all my refills to one date?

Yes, and we usually recommend it alongside packaging. We can align your prescriptions so they all come due on the same day each month rather than at different points through the month.
